Stairon - Energy & Cleantech

Energy and Cleantech – Combining heavy industry expertise with modern production

Energy and cleantech solutions require high reliability, precision, and the ability to operate in demanding environments, often using specialty materials.

Our manufacturing combines heavy industry expertise with the latest energy technology standards and certified process control, enabling the reliable production of complex structures and components.

We produce high-pressure vessels, LNG structures, and process-critical equipment, where dimensional accuracy, durability, and long-term performance are essential.

In connection with vessel fabrication, we can also provide equipment design, and for fans, sizing calculations are included in our service offering.

CASE: Turku Energia Artukainen

Turnkey Project Deliveries

Stairon, in collaboration with its client Caligo, delivered a new flue gas scrubber to Turku Energia’s Artukainen steam plant as a comprehensive turnkey project. The scope of the project included large duplex tank structures, versatile process piping, automation installations, service platforms, as well as instrumentation and insulation.

The execution of the project required precise coordination and high technical expertise, as the site combined heavy structures with complex process technology. The close collaboration between Stairon and Caligo ensured that all components were seamlessly designed and implemented, delivering significant energy efficiency and cost benefits to the end customer, Turku Energia.

The result is an efficient, environmentally friendly, and long-lasting solution that supports the customer’s sustainability goals.

Scope of delivery

• Flue Gas Scrubber
• Service Platforms / Walkways

The five corner stones of our work

Exceptionally large modular production facilities

Our two large factories and modularity enable greater capacity for individual projects, regardless of their duration. The additional space in our factory eliminates the need for extra logistics or external warehousing. Modularity and space mean factories within a factory.

1

Material supply

Proactive material sourcing and in-house warehousing combined with in-house further processing significantly reduces delays in our customer projects. This means reliable delivery.

2

Data

Our experience and development in collecting production data facilitates sustainability and compliance reporting for our customers. Data sharing can be customised according to customer and project needs. To us, sustainability is concrete.

3

Experience and expertise

We are familiar with the specific characteristics and requirements of various industries. We adapt our process to the customer's needs – not the other way around. Our modern and adaptable production process scales effectively and enables predictable project management, regardless of production volumes. Project simulation, stage by stage, allows for proactive scheduling and resource planning. The customer gets what they order, for the agreed-upon price.

4

Maritime access

Post-production logistics do not have to take place on land. Our production facilities have direct access to maritime routes, along which even large and oddly shaped equipment can be delivered anywhere in the world. To put it shortly – we’re located right by a port.
