Rapidly growing CT Industrial (CTI) is helping industry and cities transform polluting energy production methods into sustainable ones. In collaboration with Stairon*, they are producing high-quality, Finnish-made electrode boilers.
CTI is a Finnish energy and process technology expert company that modernizes energy systems to be more sustainable and intelligent.
The steady growth in turnover over recent years stems from the green transition: electrode boilers enable emission-free heat production, while the retrofitting of traditional oil and natural gas boilers to run on biofuels is increasing at an accelerating pace.
In 2023, the company began exploring the potential of the electric boiler market, and the first sales of electrode boilers in Finland were secured that same autumn. Today, the company’s business areas include electric boilers, retrofitting, and grinding—alongside heat recovery and heat exchangers, which were added following an acquisition.
“We have ambitious growth targets for the future, and I believe we will achieve them. Energy production methods are in transition, and carbon neutrality—or even carbon negativity—is a growing global trend. We are making this change possible for cities and industry,” says Juha Mäntynen, CEO of CTI.

A Partner Found Nearby
Partners and subcontractors play a significant role in enabling CTI’s growth.
“Both we and our partners share the desire to be among the first to learn and develop. We demand continuous improvement and an open line of communication from our partners,” says Mäntynen.
Collaboration with Stairon began just over a year ago as the product range expanded to include electric boilers. For Mäntynen, Stairon was already a familiar name from decades back.
“When we started manufacturing electric boilers, we first looked for suitable ways to produce them together with international partners.”
However, the ultimate goal was to find a local partner nearby who could manufacture the pressure vessels for the electric boilers. Domestic production is a key value for CTI.
“We wanted the electrode boiler to be Finnish, and in Turku, we found a partner in Stairon, who had extensive experience in pressure equipment manufacturing. We are a Finnish manufacturer of electrode boilers, so it is natural that the main components for our electric boilers also come from Finland. This also has a positive impact on the product’s image,” says Mäntynen.

High Quality and High Ambition
In this collaboration, CTI provides the designs and drawings, and Stairon manufactures the boilers accordingly. Every boiler is unique and tailored to the customer’s specific needs.
“Stairon’s way of operating is flexible, and their welding expertise and quality meet our criteria. We also want our partner to have the readiness to grow with us and scale their production as needed,” says Mäntynen.
CTI is known for high quality, and that same quality must be visible at every stage, from manufacturing to delivery.
“For example, documentation must be of high quality; it is an absolute requirement. Our customers must report in accordance with ESG standards, and requirements are increasing all the time. In addition to quality, delivery times and reliability are vital for us and our customers. We demand a lot from our partners because our customers demand a lot from us,” Mäntynen states.
*CTI began its collaboration in 2023 with Mesekon, which merged with Stairon following an acquisition on November 30, 2025.
