Submerged arc welding – for applications that demand efficiency, repeatability and quality

Submerged arc welding is chosen when an easily repeatable, productive and high-quality welding process is required for large and thick workpieces. Welding takes place under a layer of powder, which enables high welding power and prevents impurities – thus the end result is flawless and of high quality.

We have long experience and special expertise in submerged arc welding. We use two modern welding towers, one of which is tailored to our customers’ needs so that it can also weld inside the workpiece, even in tight spaces. The functionality of the submerged arc welding process is ensured by a team of expert and qualified welding operators.

Advantages of submerged arc welding

• High productivity: wire diameters of 2.5 mm – 5.0 mm enable multiple weld yield on thick workpieces compared to traditional MIG/MAG welding.
• Good penetration: ideal for thick materials.
• Accuracy and repeatability: the submerged arc welding is stable and produces reproducible high-quality joints.
